Ah, Marvel Rivals fans—always ready to manifest their dream features into reality! Lately, rumors have been swirling about a possible PvE boss fight mode, and the hype train was picking up steam… until NetEase hit the brakes.
So, About That PvE Mode…
During the DICE Summit in Las Vegas, Marvel Rivals producer Weicong Wu was asked the million-dollar question: Is PvE coming to the game? His response? A polite but firm “Not at the moment.”
“For now, we don’t have any kind of a PvE plan,” Wu stated, sending shockwaves through the co-op-loving community.
But just as fans were preparing their saddest reaction memes, he added: “Our development team is always experimenting with new game modes. If we find one that’s fun enough, we’d love to bring it to the audience.”
Translation? PvE isn’t here yet, but it’s not entirely off the table.
Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo then jumped in with a curveball, asking: “Do YOU want a PvE mode?” (As if Reddit and Twitter haven’t been screaming about it non-stop.)
Wu elaborated, explaining that while some players would love a hardcore PvE experience, it would be a completely different beast from Marvel Rivals’ current gameplay. Instead, the devs are toying with “lighter” PvE ideas to see what fits best.
So, could this mean a limited-time PvE event? A smaller boss battle mode? A surprise challenge where a giant villain crashes into a match unannounced? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, in the Marvel Rivals Universe…
While we wait for NetEase to either crush or confirm our PvE dreams, Marvel Rivals keeps rolling out new characters every month and a half. Next up on February 21:
🔥 The Human Torch – Because every game needs a hero who can set things on fire.
🪨 The Thing – Ready to remind everyone that it’s clobberin’ time.
And that’s not all. Marvel Rivals devs also addressed questions about a Nintendo Switch 2 release (answer: nothing confirmed) and whether they’ve been trolling dataminers with fake leaks. Their response? Mysterious smirks. 🤔
So, will PvE ever make its way into Marvel Rivals? For now, it’s all up in the air. But knowing the Marvel universe, surprises are always around the corner.
